Ereck Flowers – Biography, Height, Weight, Body Measurements, Other Facts

Ereck Flowers had quite a journey on the way to becoming an offensive tackle for the New York Giants – a team in the National Football League (NFL). Before rising to the pro league, he played college football for the University of Miami. It should be helpful to know that Ereck Flowers hasn’t always been on a straight path to success, and to get his full biography and other facts about him, read on.

Ereck Flowers Biography

Ereck Flowers was born on April 25, 1994 to Everald Flowers and Tanya Stokes. Tragedy struck his childhood when his mother died. When he was only six years old, he had a father who also lost the love of his life. Tanya died after a brief battle with cancer and Ereck became a confused and angry little boy, saddened by the sudden change in his life.

Everald Flowers tried to comforthis son and let them both move on after the death of Tanya. Although it wasn’t easy at first, he was determined to give Ereck a good childhood and finally pulled himself together. Ereck Flowers eventually became a good young man. He initially attended Krop High School on Ives Estate, where he actually focused on basketball before his junior year ended. He did not stay at Krop High School for his senior year, instead transferring to Norland High School which led to him joining a talented college. While he was on the school’s team, Ereck Flowers helped them set a 15-0 season record and win an FHSAA Class 5A championship which they won against Crawfordville Wakulla.

Ereck Flowers was rated the 20th best offensive tackle in his set while Rivals.com placed him as a four-star recruit. ESPN ranked him a three-star recruit and 57th best offensive tackler in his set, but it was still great recognition for the skills he displayed on the field. At the end of his high school career, he preferred to go to the University of Miami over Florida State, Purdue, or Central Florida, where he also submitted offers.

The offers were a dream come true for Ereck. Flower’s father, who had played sports to keep his son focused, hoped this would also be a ticket to a good education and life chances for him. His efforts paid off as he used his experience from his previous position as a linebacker in his own college days to coach and work with his son to become the best.

Ereck Flowers entered the University of Miami in 2012 and made four starts but also played in all 12 games. Entering his sophomore year in 2013, he started all 12 games at left attack and played the left attack position again in 2014. He decided to forego his senior season and entered the 2015 NFL draft. Ereck Flowers was the New York Giants’ ninth pick during the draft. The Giants offered him a four-year contract worth $14.3 million.

In his rookie season, Ereck Flowers played in 15 games and wore the No. 76 jersey. However, he was heavily criticized in his third year in leading Pro Football Focus, which ranked him 54th in the NFL’s list of their best tackle.

Body measurements – height, weight

Ereck Flowers is a huge male, standing at a height of 6 ft 6 1⁄4 in and weighing 329 lb (1.99 m). It’s no wonder he’s considered an intense rascal on the field and keeps his weight up in weightlifting alongside the strenuous activities he engages in on the field. Despite his stature, Ereck Flowers is known to be a gentle and calm man when he’s not on the field attacking opposing teammates.
