BIOGRAPHY
Haluk Bilginer debuted as Mehmet Osman in the British series EastEnders , a character he played from 1985 to 1989. This role became one of the most important of his career. After leaving the series, Gilginer did several projects, splitting between Turkey and London. In the former he made the series Gecenin Öteki Yüzü and the controversial Turkish film Istanbul Beneath My Wings (1996), as well as Masumiyet (1997), for which he won great recognition for his performance in the supporting role of Bekir. After six years in theater he was part of the cast of several Turkish series. In cinema he appeared in several Turkish, American and British productions. Highlights include International Agent (2009), The Terrorist (2010), the Palme d’Or winner Winter’s Dream (2014), and his role as Michael Myers’ psychiatrist, Dr. Ranbir Sartain, in Halloween (2018). . In 2020 he co-stars in Aziz’s Dilemma , a comedy-drama made for Netflix by The Taylan Brothers.
