BIOGRAPHY
Ignacio López Tarso was born on January 15, 1925 in Mexico, Distrito Federal, as Ignacio López López. His parents were Alfonso López Bermúdez and Ignacia López Herrera. He is a Mexican theater, film and television actor. He was part of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. He shared credits with actors of the stature of Dolores del Río, Marga López, Carlos López Moctezuma, Elsa Aguirre, Luis Aguilar, Katy Jurado, Pedro Armendáriz, María Félix and Emilio “El Indio” Fernández, among others. He is known for films such as Macario (1960), El hombre de papel (1963), and more recently the series El pantera (2007).
López Tarso has also entered politics and was a federal deputy. He has held important positions in organizations such as the National Association of Actors (ANDA), the National Association of Interpreters (ANDI) and the Union of Film Production Workers (STPC). He is an honorary member of the Mexican Culture Seminar.

He married Clara Aranda with whom he had three children: Susana, Gabriela and the actor Juan Ignacio Aranda.
