BIOGRAPHY
June Gable studied acting at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and soon began her professional career in New York theaters. She has since appeared in four Broadway productions, including the 1974 revival of Candide , for which she was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of the old woman. Gable had a productive career in television. From 1994 to 2004, Gable played Estelle Leonard of Estelle Leonard Talent Agency, the agent of Matt LeBlanc’s character Joey Tribbiani, on the NBC sitcom Friends , with her character dying in 2004, during the show’s tenth and final season. She also appeared in a recurring role on the HBO comedy series Dream On from 1990 to 1996 playing Libby Friedman. Over the next 15 years she only made a couple of guest appearances until, in 2018, she was part of the cast of the Netflix comedy The Worst Week .
