The talented Kenyan was born Kenya Summer Moore on the 24th day of January 1971 to Ronald Grant and Patricia Moore (Special Education Teacher) in Detroit, Michigan. Her parents were teenagers at the time of her birth and her mother, Patricia, had phantastically abandoned her to be raised by her paternal grandmother, the late Doris Grant.

Kenya and her parents had a disagreement due to the nature of her birth and although she is closer to her father, he was also absent from her life for a good number of years. Kenya, she yearned for her mother’s love. Several times she struggled to extend an olive branch, but for some reason her mother wanted nothing to do with her.

With the failings of Kenya’s parents evident, her grandmother took it upon herself to ensure that Kenya was taken care of to the best of her abilities, she encouraged Kenya to be to the best of her abilities and not let the sad circumstances surrounding his birth determine the course of his life. Because of this, Kenya cited mum Doris as inspiration and was quoted saying that she owes much of her current success to the relentless efforts of her mum Doris.

Is Kenya married or single? Husband or boyfriend?

Kenya is married to businessman and restaurant owner named Marc Daly. The couple secretly got married on June 10th , 2017 in a romantic beach setting in St. Lucia surrounded only by family and close friends. This marriage came after a secret relationship that lasted about a year. Some of her co-stars from The Real Housewives of Atlanta expressed surprise and disappointment at the clandestine nature of the relationship as well as not being invited to the eventual wedding. Still, it’s understandable that Kenya wanted to keep her new relationship a secret from the public considering the seriousness of her last relationship.

Prior to her marriage to Marc Daly, Kenya dated a much younger man named Matt Jordan. Her relationship with Matt was full of drama and violent outbursts from Matt, who accused Kenya of infidelity to some Nigerian billionaires. There was a lot of hype and publicity surrounding their relationship and things got so bad that Kenya had to seek a restraining order against Matt. In recent interviews, Kenya has described her relationship with Matt as toxic and has no regrets about breaking it off in 2015.
