BIOGRAPHY
Mario Lopez Jr. is an American actor and presenter, born on October 10, 1973, in San Diego, California. Of Mexican and Filipino origin, Mario was a successful member of the high school wrestling team, earning a top 10 finish in a regional championship. However, years earlier he had been discovered by an agent, when he was 10 years old, getting jobs in print ads and commercials. He got his first role on television, at the age of 11, in the series aka Pablo (1984) and little by little he began to receive several offers, which led him to series such as Kids Incorporated (1984) and The Golden Girls (1987), until reach the role for which he is most recognized and remembered, that of AC Slater, in the successful television comedy Saved by the Bell (1989-1992), where he worked for 86 episodes. Lopez has had an extensive career on television, in series such as Pacific Blue (1998-2000), The Bold and the Beautiful (2006), Nip/Tuck (2006-2010) and Elena of Avalor (2018-2019), in addition to being the host of shows like Extra (2007-2019) and Access Hollywood (2019).
